In the Teachers' Day rector Sergey S. Ryzhkov presented to the teachers of the National University of Shipbuilding (NUS) awards of Ukraine for a great contribution to development of science and promotion of a healthy lifestyle among students and employees of the university.

         Yuriy D. Zhukov, Professor, Doctor of Sciences in Shipbuilding in his award acceptance speech said, “We are grateful to the rector of our university for the honor done us. It is a memorable event for us. The main task of the teacher is to impart youth the knowledge and the correct relation to life. The teacher has to bring up high moral ideals and a healthy lifestyle. The teachers of the NUS show the advantages of healthy and active living to the younger generation. They help students to reach high physical, scientific and spiritual levels in their lives. The teachers go in for physical culture and take part in various competitions. They direct many efforts to development of the sports movement of veterans. Our some teachers were participants and prize-winners of the World and Europe Championships. We can be proud of our colleagues”.

             Next day FIMBA-Ukraine Representative Yuriy Zhukov handed honourable awards to the teachers of the university who were veterans of basketball brotherhood.
